Khatia Buniatishvili was born on June 21, 1987 in Batoumi, Georgia. Khatia Buniatishvili discovered the piano at an early age thanks to her mother. At only six years old, Khatia Buniatishvili performed for the first time as a soloist with an orchestra before being invited to play in Europe, Russia, Israel and the United States. Khatia Buniatishvili has performed with the Orchester de Paris under the baton of Paavo Järvi, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Vienna Symphony, the Orchester National de France under the direction of Daniele Gatti and the London Philharmonia. At the same time, Khatia Buniatishvili performs regularly as a chamber musician, notably in trio with Gidon Kremer and Renaud Capuçon or in piano four hands with her sister Gvantsa.
